Welcome! The purpose of this program is to provide you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to drive your vehicle safely.

Road Signs

Traffic signs come in different shapes, symbols and colours. They warn you about dangerous conditions, give you important information about the laws and help you find your way. To drive safely, you must know the about the signs. Different shapes and colour of signs help you identify them in darkness, fading light, fog, rain and snow.

Road Markings

It is important to understand pavement markings because they tell you the direction of traffic like one way traffic or two way traffic.

Road markings also tell you where you may and may not travel on the road. Markings give you important information about turning lanes and pedestrian crossings.

Pedestrian Signals

Pedestrians’ safety is very important because they are the most vulnerable road users. Pedestrian signals are designed to help pedestrians cross the intersections safely.

As a driver, you must understand pedestrian signals to anticipate the actions of pedestrians.

Traffic Signals

Traffic lights are found at intersections and other places where heavy traffic comes together. Traffic lights indicate who has the right-of-way.

Traffic lights have three colours and each colour has a specific position on the signal. When a light is upright, the sequence of colours is Red-Yellow-Green. Horizontal traffic signals have the Red-Yellow-Green sequences, with Red on the left.
